Pinkov Alexander Petrovich
Born on September 3, 1952 in the village of Verkhnyaya Dubrava (Vislaya Dubrava) in the Nikolo-Cheremshansky district of the Ulyanovsk region.
Graduated from secondary school No. 3 (now the Mariinsky gymnasium) in 1967.
In 1971 he graduated from the Ulyanovsk Automotive College.
In 1990 he graduated from the Ulyanovsk branch of the Kuibyshev Planning Institute.
In 1999 he defended his thesis for the degree of candidate of economic sciences.
From 1971 to 1973 he served in the Soviet Army.
Between 1973 and to 2005 worked at Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant OJSC, a large industrial enterprise, which is a landmark enterprise in the region, to which he devoted more than 30 years (including business trips to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Cambodia). During this time, he has gone from the controller to the first deputy general director.
Thanks to his rich experience in the industry, in 2005 Alexander Petrovich was appointed to the position of Deputy Head of the Administration of the Ulyanovsk Region, and then Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Ulyanovsk Region. Over the years, he has made a huge contribution to the development of the real sector of the economy. In 2008, he was appointed First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Ulyanovsk Region. In the municipal elections on March 14, 2010, Alexander Petrovich Pinkov was elected to the post of Head of the municipal formation "city of Ulyanovsk" and on March 22, 2010 took office.
December 7, 2011 resigned
On December 12, 2011, he was appointed First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Ulyanovsk Region.
From January 2015 until October 10, 2019, he served as the rector of the Ulyanovsk State Technical University.
Currently, the head of the university department "Modern methods of design and organization of production in the automotive industry."
