The international cooperation

One of the main priorities of UlSTU is a development of international cooperation. The goal of the university is to intensify scientific cooperation with foreign colleagues, strengthen the business ties of the university with foreign and international companies and organizations, increase the number of foreign students, expand the range and volume of educational services, and exchange students and teachers.

UlSTU conducts an active international activity, the main directions of which are:

• training of specialists for foreign countries.
• academic cooperation with foreign universities and research centers;
• implementation of joint international scientific and educational projects.

About 350 foreign citizens from 39 countries of the world study at UlSTU (Angola, Guinea-Bissau, Zimbabwe, Sierra Leone, Benin, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda, Morocco, Mali, Sudan, Nigeria, Chad, Rwanda, Algeria, Mozambique, Tanzania, Côte d'Ivoire, Republic of the Congo, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, Yemen, Palestine, Syria, China, Sri Lanka, India, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan).

For foreign citizens UlSTU offers educational programs of Russian language with additional basic disciplines (pre-university courses). The courses provide basic training and preparation to secondary vocational, undergraduate (bachelor and specialist) and postgraduate programs.

There are three specializations:

• Engineering and technical specialization

Disciplines: Russian as a foreign language, including scientific language, mathematics, physics, chemistry, informatics, Russian history, phonetics, physical education and sport.

• Biomedical specialization

Disciplines: Russian as a foreign language, including scientific language, physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics, Russian history, phonetics, physical education and sport.

• Economic specialization

Disciplines: Russian as a foreign language, including scientific language, mathematics, informatics, Russian history, phonetics, geography, social science, physical education and sport.

Students study at Preparatory Faculty.
