Rector of Ulyanovsk State Technical University Nadezhda Yarushkina visited the People's Republic of China in early November. During the trip, Rector participated in the 22nd Conference on International Exchange of Professionals in Shanghai as an expert of the plenary session, in the 8th International Conference on Intelligent Information Technologies for Industry (IITI-2024) in Harbin as a moderator of the section and a key speaker, business meetings were held with representatives of Harbin Polytechnic University, with the administration of Jiamussa, the leadership of the Jiamussa Vocational Pedagogical Corporation and Jiamussa University, as well as visited a number of manufacturing enterprises.

The opening ceremony of the 22nd Conference on International Exchange of Professionals held in Shanghai, was attended by more than 2,000 Chinese and foreign guests, including foreign experts fr om more than 120 countries and regions, representatives of central and state authorities, local administrative departments responsible for the work foreign experts and representatives of employers. The conference was aimed at promoting professional exchange and global cooperation in various fields such as science, technology and education.

The 8th International Conference on Intelligent Information Technologies for Industry IITI- 2024, held at Harbin Polytechnic University in Harbin, brought together specialists in the field of information systems development. At the conference, Professor Nadezhda Yarushkina headed the section "Evolutionary modeling and genetic algorithms" and presented the report "Forming a rule base for product lifecycle management systems". During the visit to Harbin Polytechnic University, issues of interaction and cooperation in the educational and scientific fields in various fields: mathematics, computer science and mechanical engineering were discussed. Gleb Guskov, Associate Professor of the Department of Information Systems at UlSTU, also took part in international conferences in Shanghai and Harbin.

The business meetings in Jiamussi started with a visit to the Jiamussi city government, wh ere negotiations were held with Qiong Li, Secretary of the CPC Municipal Committee of Jiamussi; Yu Daji, Deputy Mayor of Jiamussi; Yan Xiangjun, Secretary of the Party Committee of Jiamussi Vocational Education Corporation; Yang Zhe, Head of the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Jiamussi; and Yu Qingpeng, Second Grade Research Officer of the Jiamussi Education Department.

During the business visits made during the trip to Jiamussi, Rector of UlSTU Nadezhda Yarushkina was accompanied by Director of the International Institute of UlSTU Pavel Pazushkin and Professor Liu Danhui. They represented UlSTU earlier at the Second travelling exhibition of Russian education, held fr om 22 to 31 October in Beijing, Qingdao, Jiaozhou, Jining, Xuzhou and Hefei, and continued the work on the development of cooperation between UlSTU and Chinese partners before the joint visit to Jiamussi under the leadership of UlSTU Rector Nadezhda Yarushkina.

Following the results of negotiations in the administration of Jiamussi city the delegation of Ulyanovsk State Technical University under the leadership of Rector Nadezhda Yarushkina visited the campus of Jiamussi Vocational Education Corporation, wh ere they held negotiations with the management of the corporation, got acquainted with the educational potential, laboratory and production facilities, held negotiations with Zhong Weidong, Rector of Jiamussi University.
