An association of software development companies RUSSOFT has presented a new version of the rating of Russian universities that train specialists for the software industry. Ulyanovsk State Technical University is placed on the 31st row of the ranking.
The rating is based on the ranking of universities according to the sum of points received by educational institutions from employers surveyed as part of the research. Today RUSSOFT unites 364 IT companies and represents the entire software development industry in Russia. The main purpose of the rating is to assess both the quality of education and the number of well-prepared graduates that software companies are willing to hire.
More than 130 educational institutions were mentioned in the survey of software development companies. UlSTU became the only Ulyanovsk higher education institution represented in the rating. Thus, in the 2024 UlSTU took 31st position.
The Faculty of Information Systems and Technologies at UlSTU has been training high-class IT specialists for 30 years. During its existence the faculty has graduated more than 5 thousand people, the overwhelming majority of whom successfully work in the field of information technologies. UlSTU graduates are managers of many companies and organisations in Ulyanovsk, Russia and the world.
