Ulyanovsk Region has entered Top 10 of the scientific and technological development rating.

Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Chernyshenko and Chairman of the State Council Commission on Science, Governor of the Novosibirsk Region Andrey Travnikov held a joint meeting of the commissions on scientific and technological development and the State Council for Science. The meeting, which was held at the Coordination Center, was attended by Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov, Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko, Head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova, Head of the FMBA of Russia Veronika Skvortsova, representatives of the Federation Council, the Ministry of Finance of Russia, the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, heads of regions, rectors of Russian universities, representatives of state corporations. The event was also attended by the chairmen of the councils for priority areas of scientific and technological development.

The National Rating of Scientific and Technological Development of the regions for 2021 was presented for the first time. The rating was commissioned by President Vladimir Putin following a joint meeting of the State Council and the Presidential Council for Science and Education. The 33 rating indicators are grouped into 3 blocks: authorities, the environment for conducting high-tech business and the environment for researchers.

The rating of scientific and technological development is created to help scientists, entrepreneurs and authorities to build effective work. The rating will be a good hint for young scientists and specialists who are motivated for professional development and choose a region for the development of their competencies.
