Today, on December 7, the agreement on the creation of the consortium of universities of the Volga Federal District "University Technological Entrepreneurship" was signed at the Samara National Research University named after Academician S.P. Korolev.
The first meeting of the consortium members was held with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. Ulyanovsk State Technical University in Samara was presented by Ekaterina Balandina, Vice-rector for Pre-university, additional education and organization of admission of applicants, and Denis Efremov, director of the scientific and educational center "Boiling Point of UlSTU".
The agreement was signed by 28 universities from different cities of the Volga Federal District, including Samara, Tolyatti, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, Innopolis, Saratov, Ulyanovsk, Saransk, Yoshkar-Ola, Cheboksary, Perm, Izhevsk, Penza, Ufa, Orenburg and Kirov. The consortium will become the first unified space for university startups in Russia. Students will be able to join accelerators and startup studios at other universities.
"Universities will combine their potential and opportunities to implement projects and programs aimed at involving students in entrepreneurial activities. In addition, universities will share their experience in building the infrastructure of university technological entrepreneurship and expand interinstitutional networking" - commented Denis Efremov.
