The delegation of the Consulate General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Kazan visited UlSTU

On January 18, Ulyanovsk State Technical University hosted a meeting with the official delegation of the Consulate General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Kazan. The parties exchanged experience of cooperation in the scientific and educational sphere and discussed prospects for cooperation.

The delegation included Consul General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Kazan Yerlan Iskakov, First Secretary of the Consulate General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Kazan Ilyas Tursunbayev and Honorary Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Naberezhnye Chelny Ravil Kanzerov.

The guests were welcomed by the first Vice-rector, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Elena Surkova. The meeting was attended by Vice-rector for Scientific Work Andrey Klimovsky and Director of the International Institute of UlSTU Pavel Pazushkin. The delegation got acquainted with the educational programs, research directions and international experience of Ulyanovsk Polytechnic University.

The prospects of increasing the number of foreign students from among the citizens of Kazakhstan were discussed at the meeting. More than ten people from this country are currently studying at UlSTU. Foreign citizens receive education, including at the Afanasyev College of Economics and Informatics. As Elena Surkova noted, the university is interested in further expanding opportunities for cooperation.

"Ulyanovsk region is an important strategic partner for Kazakhstan in trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian areas of cooperation. One of the tasks of the Consulate General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Kazan is to establish contacts with the regions. Today we visited Ulyanovsk State Technical University and met with students who are citizens of Kazakhstan. We noted that the students of UlSTU are in comfortable conditions, the university management is doing everything for this. The guys are already undergoing production practice at the car factory and see their future. This indicates stability: students have adapted well and can continue to develop and build a career" - The Consul General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Kazan Yerlan Iskakov noted.

At the end of the visit, the delegation visited the educational and production complex of modern technologies in mechanical engineering.
