Extracurricular life

Education at UlSTU is not only lectures, seminars and sessions. Students take part in many areas of social, sports, creative activities, where they can realize themselves.

1. United Council of Students of UlSTU. 

In other words, a student council whose activities are aimed at creating conditions for the active involvement of young people in all areas of student life at the university.

There are various directions in the Council of UlSTU, each of which is responsible for a separate activity of student life: scientific, informational, cultural and mass, mentoring institute, volunteer center. 

UlSTU activists are guys who will show and teach you a lot, reveal your potential, reveal your personal qualities, develop many useful skills and, of course, help you turn many ideas into reality. Here you can learn how to hold your own events, recruit a cool team, write and implement projects. 

2. Headquarters of student groups of UlSTU.

The headquarters operates jointly with the public organization "Russian Student Detachments". The main goal is the employment of students in the summer and after school hours. 

Currently, there are 4 detachments on the basis of the university:

1. Pedagogical team "Sputnik". The main activity is working with children as counselors in regional and coastal children's camps. 

2. Construction teams "Patriot" and "Phobos". The direction of activity is participation in all-Russian construction projects.

3. Service unit "Lampa". Direction of activity - work at sea (sanatorium "Poltava-Crimea") in the areas of cleaning, bartender, waiter, cook, lifeguard, animator. 

3. The creative life of UlSTU is a whole world in which students of absolutely different courses and faculties are engaged in amateur art activities.

Creative life is very diverse: traditional inter-faculty festivals "Student Autumn" and "Student Spring", "Mr. UlSTU" and "Miss UlSTU", the festival of freshmen's creativity "Freshman's Debut", dates and days of faculties. 

There are 6 amateur art groups in UlSTU, in which more than 300 students are involved. 

1. School of modern dance "P.S". Style: Modern choreography, Hip-hop. 

2. Variety Dance Ensemble "Prime time". Style: Contemporary choreography, contemporary, vogue, etc. 

3. Creative Association "Lampa". Style: Contemporary, plastic. 

4. Dance group "Wanna dance". Style: K-pop

5. Student Theater of UlSTU 

6. The vocal group "Voice" 

4. Sport UlSTU. 

UlSTU has various sports sections where you can realize your talents and skills. Volleyball, football, orienteering, athletics, weightlifting, swimming, floorball (field hockey) and badminton. Here you will be taught the basic rules of the game, you will have the opportunity to participate in competitions and represent the honor of the university both at the regional level and throughout Russia and the world.

The tourist club "Boomerang" is a community of people united by a craving for travel, love for nature. Members of the club participate in hiking on foot, on skis, kayaks or catamarans in the Ulyanovsk region, in the Urals, the Caucasus, Altai, Tien Shan, in Karelia and the Sayans.
