On December 2, Ulyanovsk State Technical University hosted a meeting with the official delegation of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in the Russian Federation. The parties exchanged experience of interaction in the field of science and education and discussed prospects for cooperation.
A delegation led by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to the Russian Federation Mehmet Samsar was paying a visit to Ulyanovsk State Technical University. The wife of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to the Russian Federation Feruza Samsar and Counselor of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey to the Russian Federation Mustafa Cem Gunduz were also in its part.
The representatives of delegation were welcomed by the Rector of UlSTU Prof. Nadezhda Jarushkina. The meeting was attended by Vice-Rector in science and research Prof. Alexey Namestnikov and Director of the International Institute Pavel Pazushkin. The Rector spoke about the mission of the university, cooperation with leading companies in the region and partnership with other countries. The parties discussed the prospects of increasing the number of students from among Turkish citizens.
" In total, about a thousand Turkish students study in Russia. I hope that UlSTU will be included in the list of universities where Turkish citizens will be able to receive higher education. We are aimed at developing partnership relations between UlSTU and Turkish universities. In addition, we were able to discuss the issue of international student exchange. I believe that our visit is quite useful from the point of view of bilateral relations and, in particular, the development of interaction in the field of science and education " - The Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to the Russian Federation Mehmet Samsar noted.
The delegation was shown a presentation about Ulyanovsk State Technical University with a detailed description of areas of training, research areas and opportunities for students. The guests were also told about the new programs of professional development and retraining of scientific and pedagogical staff. At the end of the visit, the delegation visited a regional technology center for industrial internet in mechanical engineering.
