On September 1, Rector of Ulyanovsk State Technical University Prof. Nadezhda Jarushkina met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Russian Federation Kazem Jalali, who discussed prospects for the development of scientific and educational cooperation.
UlSTU represented to delegation of the Islamic republic Iran Embassy educational programs, research materials and experience of the international activities of the university.
"Ulyanovsk State Technical University preparing engineers in various fields. In the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities, UlSTU is in the top 100 Russian universities and takes 69th place. The main feature of university's educational process is that we strive to prepare future engineers not only for work, but also for invention. Therefore, the university occupies a high position in patent activity. We are ready to develop beneficial cooperation and establish strong partnerships with universities of the Republic of Iran"» Prof. Nadezhda Jarushkina, Rector of UlSTU noticed.
During a visit to UlSTU, delegation of the Islamic republic Iran Embassy visited the Regional Technological Center of the Industrial Internet in Mechanical Engineering. Kazem Jalali emphasized the pragmatic and innovative approach of the university to the educational system: students put the acquired knowledge into practice by performing practical work in the center of the industrial Internet.
"I appreciate the Rector of UlSTU for the opportunity to get acquainted with the most important scientific and technical center of the region. We will make every effort to ensure that students from Iran have possibility to study here and that technical universities and high-tech enterprises of our Republic become your partners," Kazem Jalali, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Russian Federation said.
It should be reminded that now more than 10 thousand students are studying at UlSTU, including foreign students from more than 30 countries.
